Seminar "Footprints of Food: from Data to Awareness"

10th of October 2012 Tallinn, Estonia

Project FOODWEB organised an international seminar "Footprints of Food: from data to awareness" on 10th of October 2012 in Tallinn, Estonia.

 

The seminar was focused on interaction of food and environment, and environmental impacts of food production. How to proceed from food related data to awareness about healthy and sustainable food was also under discussion. The aim of the seminar was to provide information and also to create discussion between food chain organisations, state officials, NGOs as well as consumers.

 

On seminar participated producers, stakeholders, environmental and food related NGOs, research institutions and other interested parties from Estonia, Finland and Latvia. 

 

Organisers: MTT Agrifood Research Finland, Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), University of Tartu, Science Centre AHHAA and University of Latvia.
